Music is a time continuum wherein the past, present and future blend to create the soundscape of our daily lives. Understanding and embracing the cyclical nature of music is what makes Wayward Saints debut album Future Vintage so remarkable, fusing hip hop, jazz, soul, funk and down-tempo to create a unique sound that explores all of the aforementioned genres without sounding chaotic or heavy-handed.
This eclectic mix is the creation of Los Angeles-based producers Presto and Avatar - two veterans of the California hip hop scene whose late-night jam sessions laid the groundwork for Future Vintage. The warm organic overtones of this album signal a departure from the robotic rhythms of Wayward Saints urban contemporaries, instead providing the listener with a relaxed atmosphere of luminescent grooves.
