When Ultra Nate first appeard in 1989 with the international club anthem "Its Over Now", no one could have possibly predicted what would become of clubland's original diva of despair. As is often the case with the typical dance music artist, artistic longevity is not considered to be part of the overall plan. Now in her 11th year as a singer/songwriter, Ultra Nate has - with
much perspective, hard work and talent - completely shattered the image of
the cookie-cutter dance princess. Each of her three albums have resulted in bigger succes and classic singles: 1991's 'Blue Notes in the Basement' gave us "Rejoicing" and "Deeper Love", 1993's 'One Woman's Insanity' had the tracks "Show Me" and "Joy, and1998's 'Situation:Critical' included "Found A Cure", "New Kind Of Medicine", and, of course, "Free".

Now, on her latest release 'Stranger Than Fiction', Ultra Nate pushes the
limits of popular music. The album is a feisty mixture of dancefloor-rooted grooves, alternative leaning pop and
