Giant Step and Fruitmeat Records are proud to present the newest release from their joint venture, Vinia Mojicaís "Guilt Junkie", produced by Ge-ology. Vinia Mojicaís artistic range has carried her through recordings with classic hip hop artists such as De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock and more recently with DJ Hi-Tek, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, DJ Spinna and Common. Diversity being the key, Vinia has also recorded/performed with Mary J Blige, Groove Collective and Youssou NíDour as well as avant garde artists like Chocolate Genius, Arto Lindsay, and Cibo Matto.

Joining together all the various musical and live experiences that have touched her, Vinia Mojica has developed her own unique sound and style. She is now collaborating on her solo debut LP with fresh new talents like Ge-ology, Djinji Brown and DC native Kokayi of Opus Akoben. This debut 12" on Fruitmeat/Giant Step Records is produced by Ge-ology and features the wonderfully introspective "Guilt Junkie" on the A side and the innovative scatting of "Sands of Time" on the B Side. Already being played by Gilles Peterson and Patrick Forge (Da Lata, KISS FM London), this 12" package has already garnered great anticipation and buzz.
