

A native New Yorker, E.Moss moved out to Los Angeles in mid 2001. His music projects have included being half of the production duo Backyard Bangers, and the producer/DJ for the Mo Wax hip hop group Atmos. He has collaborated with a diverse range of artists like Z-Trip, I-Wolf, Up Bustle & Out, and Super Furry Animals. With his new solo work, E.Moss has found an outlet for his own electronic/hip hop instrumental epics.
He has had feature articles in XLR8R, Trace, and Breakinpoint, and has had favorable reviews published in magazines like Urb, Vice, Fader, NME, Muzik (receiving 5 Stars three times), Jockey Slut, Wire, Straight No Chaser, HHC, DJ, Mixmag, Big Daddy, CMJ, Flyer and Stress. He is currently a DJ in rotation at the L.A. internet radio station Dublab, and has been the featured DJ on respected college radio stations like WCBN (MI), WNYU (NY) and WFMU (NJ), internet radio station Betalounge, and UK Radio Stations XFM and Radio 1 'Breezblock'. People as diverse as BBC's Ross Allen, Mr. Scruff, Plaid, Coldcut, Z-Trip, DJ P, DJ Swingsett, Prefuse 73, Frosty and DJ Anna have played his tunes out and included him on their charts. His Atmos 'Grounded EP' charted at no. 31 on CMJ's 'Beat Box' chart and was a top seller at Japan's well-known Dance Music Records shop, and his Atmos "Shock Therapy/4 by 4" 12" reached no. 29 on DJ Magazine's 'Beats' chart. His music has been featured on EMusic.com, GetMusic.com, SandboxAutomatic.com, Koolin.com, a Gravity Games video and the Scratch: All the Way Live DVD. His live shows include performing at London's famous 'Scratch' event at The Scala, doing a CMJ Music Marathon showcase with Atmos, doing a mix CD for Scion, DJing the 'Scratch' show at L.A.'s House of Blues, and being a resident DJ at venues like The Echo and The Vermont in LA.
