Since 2001, Switchstance Recordings has been standing strong both in the club and music world and in the boardsports community. The label Switchstance Recordings was founded in 2001 by Tom Strauch in Moers, Germany as a strong network of befriended DJs, producers, musicians, graphic artists, sound engineers and people from the culture of board sports. The Switchstance DJ Collective is the label's DJ crew, which - each for his own and all together - is defined by a broad musical spectrum. The Collective don't believe the hype, but in grooves, combining the hot and new with the ever so good: modern breakbeats meet African Funk, Dub, Raw Funk, Jazz, Latin and Dancehall Reggae meet Hip Hop - old and new, straight and broken, hot and cool meet up and melt into something new, pumping its energies on to the dancefloor. Tom is internationally known as a DJ. He has represented Switchstance already a few times at the Winter Music Conference in Miami and the Midem in Cannes.

Protassov has proven to be one of Switchstance Recordings most effective secret weapons, and his collaborations with other Switchstance talent have produced some of the dopest tracks around.
