Siouxsie
biography

It all started with the first flare-up of the punk movement, in the underground hole-in-the-wall venues of London, England in 1976 for Susan Dallion. Being a die-hard Sex Pistols fan, and strongly inspired by the growing punk community, Dallion adopted the name Siouxsie Sioux and formed The Banshees in September 1976. Along with bassist Steven Severin and guitarist Marco Perroni, the band included John Simon Ritchie, who later became the infamous Sid Vicious. Steadily evolving, Siouxsie led The Banshees from an abrasive, primitive art punk group into a stylish, sophisticated musical talent. After a long-lived and successful career that lasted two decades with The Banshees, which included numerous lineup changes, once in a life-time performances such as a 20-minute rendition of "The Lords Prayer" (those who know, know) and a U.S. Top 40 hit with "Kiss Them For Me," it would be common to say that a star for some 30 years like Siouxsie is back and better than ever.
