On Wednesday, November 26th, Venezuelan super-group
Los Amigos Invisibles will play their last live concert of 2008 at the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza to celebrate the release of their new live DVD,
En Una Noche Tan Linda Como Ésta. The DVD showcases Los Amigos’ 15th Anniversary concert at the venerable venue Aula Magna in their hometown of Caracas, Venezuela.
It has been an exciting year for Los Amigos Invisibles, including a West Coast tour alongside
SI*SE, the DVD release and work on a new album due out at the end of 2008. The group was also nominated alongside
Daft Punk,
Paul Van Dyk and
Justice for
“Best Live Electronica Performance” at the
Lunas del Auditorio Awards in Mexico and, shortly after, released
Superpop Remixed, a collection of remixes from their Grammy-nominated
Superpop Venezuela album of 2006.
Los Amigos Invisibles’ Thanksgiving Eve 2008 performance will be the culmination of a successful and busy year for the group. It has been another exciting chapter in a musical career that spans almost two decades, includes five studios albums, two Grammy nominations, two Latin Grammy nominations and countless amazing live performances. Fans won’t want to miss the chance to catch Los Amigos Invisibles one last time, live in concert in 2008, before the group goes back into the studio to continue their legacy and bring us more hits!
