Roc Nation and Allido Records present
Wale
In an era when critics and rappers themselves jump to declare the death of hip hop, 23 year-old Wale (pronounced Wah-lay) Folarin has been breathing new life into the genre through dazzling wordplay, a fresh sound steeped in DC's legendary go-go scene, and boundless on-stage energy. Wale toured with world-famous DJ and superproducer Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen) in 2007. The response was so great, Wale ended up signing a production deal with Ronson's Allido Records.

Melanie Fiona
Born to Guyanese immigrant parents, singer/songwriter Melanie Fiona's debut album The Bridge reveals a sweet push-and-pull between countless elements of herself. At once Canadian and Caribbean, strong and sexy, contemplative and joyous, blending the sounds of pop and soul. Despite the many moods and musings of Melanie Fiona's debut, there is one defining element. The girl's got soul.
Special Guest Pete Rock
Classic New York producer/DJ Pete Rock aka Soul Brother #1 revolutionized rap and is one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time. He is often mentioned alongside DJ Premier, RZA and J Dilla because of his impeccable recording career, collaborating with Nas, Common, Mary J. Blige, Ghostface Killa, Busta Rhymes, Public Enemy and Run-DMC. In the early '90s, Pete rose to prominence as one half of the critically acclaimed group Pete Rock & CL Smooth, merging elements from jazz into hip hop, alongside artists like Stetsasonic, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots and Gang Starr.
DJ Jus Ske
For the past several years, DJ Jus Ske has been the go-to party-rocker for downtown Manhattan's cooler-than-thou party scene. The NyC native's unrivaled ability to keep dance floors packed eventually caught the eye of music industry bigwigs like Mariah Carey, Usher, Diddy and Jay-Z, all of whom have hired Jus for their exclusive parties and events. Most recently Jus has joined forces with Pharrell Williams and Star Trak as the DJ for Pharrell's new album "In My Mind," promo tour.
Plus surprise guests.
