Giant Step Presents the second installment of our 2010 SVEDKA Vodka Sessions with a Special Performance by José James with guest DJ Anastasie, on Tuesday, August 3rd, at Woodward at Ames, a Morgans Original.

Giant Step and SVEDKA Vodka continue to bring you the very best bands and emerging artists with the SVEDKA Vodka Sessions' intimate showcase series at Morgans Hotel Group luxury properties across the country. The series has already featured Wale with DJ Mark Ronson at Hudson in New York, Peter Bjorn And John with DJ Jason Bentley at SkyBar at Mondrian in West Hollywood, Diane Birch with DJ Anané Vega at Hudson, Nneka with DJ Vikter Duplaix at SkyBar at Mondrian, Kid Sister with DJ Induce Poolside at Delano in Miami Beach, Daniel Merriweather with DJ Mateo DiFontaine at The Florida Room at Delano, and Robyn with DJ Marques Wyatt at SkyBar at Mondrian.
José James has been dubbed by some as the Jazz Voice of a generation. With his smooth baritone voice, his deeply rooted knowledge of Jazz mixed with an R&B flare, José is re-educating people on what it means to love Jazz.
His latest album For All We Know (Impulse!) of Jazz standards arranged for piano and voice only was a pure throw back to his roots. It was released on the heels of critically acclaimed sophomore album Blackmagic, banishing any doubts about this man's capabilities and technique.
