Friends of the Children NY is a unique early intervention program dedicated to helping New York City´s most at-risk children become productive, contributing members of their community. We accomplish this by employing full-time mentors, called Friends, to work one-on-one with these children, beginning in kindergarten or first grade and maintaining that relationship through high school graduation. More info at www.friendsofthechildrenny.org.
Metrofly conducts indie charity benefits called "MUSIC FOR CHARITY", where we are "Making Music An Instrument For Positive Change" in the community. Through our music, we are giving back to our less fortunate neighbors in New York City. From the homeless, to the sick, poor and underprivileged children and adults, as well as helping our local animal shelters. Our goal is to nurture community spirit in the NYC music scene, and bring people in the community together for the betterment of all. In the past few months, Metrofly has held successful benefits for The Leukemia & Lymphoma society's Team in training, New York Cares, Stand Up For Kids,The International Center, St.Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Make-A-Wish foundation, and more.
