Our good friends over at the Brooklyn Bodega and The Brooklyn Brewery are hosting a fundraiser/celebration for Jay Dee and the recently formed Dilla Foundation. The Bodega crew is busy compiling all the Dilla tracks they can get their grubby little hands on. So when you come out to the Brewery on Nov 1st you will be able to request any Slum Village, Common, Busta, Janet Jackson, Jaylib or solo joint that floats your boat. You will also be able to share comments and testimonials for Dilla that will be projected on the walls of the Brewery during the jam, and then bound and sent to Jay's mother, Mrs. Yancey. The Bodega eggheads will be creating an annotated discography that will highlight Jay Dee's monumental body of work, hopefully shedding some light on some of your favorite Dilla tracks.
