Giant Step presents MLK Jr. Tribute w/Norman Jay MBE and DJ Spinna
Sunday, January 20 2008
Cielo, New York NY

event description
Giant Step is proud to announce its third annual Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. on Sunday, January 20th at Cielo. This year it will feature two of the most respected DJs in the world. Representing London, Norman Jay MBE will make his first NY appearance in over a year. This legendary DJ is known to many as the godfather of British dance culture, he is responsible for Good Times Sound system at Notting Hill Carnival, coining the phrase "rare groove" and co-founding the Talkin' Loud Record label. He is still one of the most in demand DJs in the world.

Representing New York is DJ Spinna, known internationally for his ability to play house, hip hop and soul. He has not only made a name for himself as an outstanding DJ but also respected as a producer and remixer. On top of that, he plays with Bobbito at the legendary "Wonder-Full tribute to Stevie Wonder" parties. Spinna also recently performed with Stevie Wonder himself (he was the back up band) at the GQ awards.

These two amazing talents' tribute to MLK Jr. will not only be inspiring but also a one-off event not to be missed.
