For the 6th event, Giant Step celebrates Brownswood Sessions' half birthday with Taylor McFerrin and DJ Moni.

Brooklyn beatboxer and producer Taylor McFerrin recently released his debut 'Broken Vibes' EP, a fusion of percussive boom-skat vocals, broken drum beats and melodic keys. A heavy favorite among BBC Radio 1 DJ Gilles Peterson and BBC 1Xtra's Benji B, Taylor will perform a special live set.

Monica Pineda aka DJ Moni of NYC's all-female Ubiquita DJ crew will spin her own mix of Latin and pan-African rhythms, broken beat, hip hop, funk and house. Moni is resident at NY monthly Brownswood Sessions and has also traveled extensively in Europe and Japan spinning with the likes of Gilles Peterson, Kruder & Dorfmeister and DJ Simbad.
