Founded in the spring of 2002 by the late Jam Master Jay (legendary DJ of Run-DMC), Scratch DJ Academy is the world's first school to teach the art of DJ'ing. Armed with its copy-written curriculum and vinyl, Scratch DJ Academy gives students the opportunity to receive hands-on training from celebrity DJ instructors. Courses are provided for students of all DJ skill levels. During the months of December and January, all 3 Scratch DJ Academy locations are offering a mix of DJ and Beat-Making (music-production) classes to the public for free. No experience is required. Come prepared to get your hands on some turntables.

Scratch DJ Academy-NYC will be holding a one-hour free DJ class on January 2nd and 3rd at 7PM and a one-hour free Beat-Making class on January 2nd at 7PM.

Scratch DJ Academy-Miami will be holding a one-hour free DJ class on December 27th, 28th, January 2nd & 3rd at 7PM.

Scratch DJ Academy-LA will be holding a one-hour free DJ class on January 3rd at 8PM.
