Giant Step's Resident is a column by writer and gal-about-town, Mawuse Ziegbe. Every week she'll let you into her kinda glamorous but mostly goofy world, and the misadventures range from the benign to the booty-quivering. When she's not shimmying on a dance floor, blissed out to the halcyon spins of your favorite DJ, she's watching Kid Sister shut down a planetarium, getting her heart rate thumpin' with Sharon Jones or two-steppin' on a rooftop to the Brazilian Girls.
Sometimes she gets her rant on, sounding off about clashes and causes from Beijing to Bed-Stuy. And there are always ruminations on the bizarre foibles of everyday life in New York City, because it's the WTF moments that make the city so special. If you've got a person, place or thing you want lit up in text, send her some info at GiantStepResident@gmail.com.
