ABOUT THE EVENT:
Speaker Miller will make some brief remarks and be on hand to take questions and talk about the issues that matter to you most. This is not a fund raiser - it's free to attend and you won't be solicited for campaign contributions. It's not a rally either, no one is going to ask you to wave a sign for the cameras. Rather, this is a rare opportunity to engage directly with a politician who actually wants to hear from you and is willing to discuss issues that might not grab headlines in the daily papers. Speaker Miller's campaign has asked us to gather together some people from our community - artists, DJs, designers, micro entrepreneurs, brooklynites, etc. to raise the issues that appear on our radars. You needn't be a committed Gifford Miller supporter, a registered voter, or even a democrat to attend. All we ask is that you come ready to ask insightful questions and raise relevant concerns.

ABOUT GIFFORD MILLER:
He's young, he's progressive, he's a New Yorker. We hear he is very pro nightlife (an issue that is sure to be on our agenda). He actually cares enough to meet with artists, not just the rich powerful condo owners who are pushing them out of their studios.
