Yo I was reading comments about this on the transworld skateboarding mag site. Hadn't heard about an apology...that's good ish...it's one thing having nike infiltrate underground art, music, sport, etc, but to go that low is crazy...**** str8 they deserve an apology...and then some...nice post

I don't know if any of you heard about this, but apparently Nike has already sprung into action and apologized to Dischord Records and Minor Threat for using the iconic album art in a recent Nike Skateboarding campaign. Who knew Nike had a conscience? Here's the link to the actual apology letter they sent Dischord. www.pitchforkmedia.com I have to say that I'm totally impressed that they buckled about this...figured that skaters just wanted to pay homage, but not asking the label or band for the rights to the artwork in advance was just a knucklehead move especially knowing the history of the label's anti-corporate stance. Chalk one up for the DIY massive.
