Lovely rolling piano on that one.
The one i heard dont have any piano i think. More of a latin percussion vibe with big bouncing horn section. And lots of breaks.
I know i heard Guru but maybe it ain't a Gangstarr maybe its the soul thing he did????..........Anyone..please!!!!!!

I'm also pretty sure you're talking about the Upbeat Mix of "Lovesick" by Gang Starr. I got it on CD single when it came out here in Europe in 1991 and I think it was released on 12" vinyl too.

The sleeve says the Upbeat Mix was produced and remixed by John Waddell and it's completely re-recorded with an uptempo Ramsey Lewis style jazz groove, keeping only Guru's vocals from the original Premier mix. The chorus horn hook and the groove may be samples but not from "Wack wack".

It still sounds fresh and up to date today. I drop it in nearly all my dj-sets.

I think you are after the remix of Lovesick by Gangstarr that is mad rare. I think it came out on a 7" in the early nineties. It blazes the original, I think its a Young Holt Trio sample......maybe Wack Wack.
But as to gettin it, get in line son cos i'm busting for it too......!!!!!

Any of you lovely folks know where i can get that beautiful bossa nova remix of Gangstarr that Andrew Jervis is playing at the moment???? Nobody knows what the **** i'm on about!!!!!
