they might have a pop-ish sound, but i'm into brazilian girls. i think they'd be perfect for giant step... i mean, they're a new york band, and they're getting pretty big right now. and while they do have that poppy sounds, they do have a range of poppy sounds.
i think i saw it up in an earlier post, but i think portishead deserves another vote. i'd like to hear something fresh from them... it hasn't been TOO long, but maybe they could be considered as in need of a revitalizing of their career.
i don't know how under the radar this guy is, but if it were up to me, this guy would be headlining a lot of ninja tune events... BONOBO... simply amazing.
there ya go... i gave 3 of my own and i probably won't post again for another month. =oP

If there were a Pharcyde reunion - dope! If it's just going to be Booty Brown and Imani - not to dis, but no thanks! They really do need Slim Kid Tre and Fatlip to make things right!
I saw Omar last year at SOB's - brother is still holding it down. My man tore up "Golden Brown!"
But getting back to the question at hand...
Groove Collective.
They played a HUGE role in the beginning of GS.
Who remembers back when GS was holding it down at the Supper Club on Thursdays with Genji on drums, Nappy G on percussion and Fabio soloing over any track Nickodemus was playing?
Only to have the turntables fade out, but never lose the rhythm because Jonathan had been adding extra bottom to the sound and playing the H-E double hockey sticks out of his bass! Those cats were MONSTERS!! Especially when they were at full Voltron with all 10 members on the stage.
GS should complete the circle!

Juliet Roberts was on lead vocals in Working Week for their original line up if I remember correctly-those pre Acid Jazz days are a little hazy still.
