Shared musical genes indeed Buddah! Wow, didn't know about Portishead anyway. I have another one. Like the Slave, SOS Band and definitely World Famous Supreme Dream Team "HEY DJ"!!!
What about....that singer who recorded "Return of the Mack" back in 97-98? That was a funky single!

Wow! Great news about Loose Ends and Portishead! I like the Skyy, SOS Band, and D-Train suggestions too.
How about Malcolm McLaren and the World Famous Supreme Team? The Art of Noise? Kleeer? Fonda Rae? Slave? Ohio Players? Gil Scott-Heron? I would like him to make a follow up to "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised".
So where are we with that?? :) :(

def good news and agree that it is rather unlikely that the portishead of the past will emerge... never know... such high expectations come with the long break... ez

Apologies Fried has nothing to do with Geoff Barrow sorry it's misinformation, but check the album anyway it's a new take on classic loose limbed funky deep soul !!!!

Thats good news Raid - i've seen them dj seperately and they are very impressive but compared to the beauty of 'Sour Times' it's small comfort indeed!!

Fao Miss Stone -
You are a real Anglophile aren't you ???
Roni Size is still going, Goldie's a tv presenter now, Outside and Portishead disbanded but the head guy from Portishead has a new band Fried very sweet indeed!!
Loose Ends just restarted with the original line up, and SoulIISoul just a business now!!
We must have shared musical genes??
Peace and love BB
