Let's see...
My name is Naseelah Funkẹ (foon-kay), a 24 years young God creating my very reality at this very moment. I am a virgo sun, libra moon and a cancer rising in the year of the rooster. I was born in the gutter of soul Memphis, Tn where a hog dont have a chance and soul is as sweet as pot liquor. I am a musician with the xylophone being the first thing I picked up in kindergarten at the age of four. Since then, I play, violin, viola (principal instrument for 11 years) congas, djembe, berimbau, pandiero, shekere, bongos, acoustic guitar (still learning), bass guitar and whatever else I pick up that interests me. I am a music head is anybody heard of one. Over the summer I was spending 400 bucks a month on CDs its a wonderful addiction. Anyway, I went to Jackson State University in Jackson, MS for Music Education with Viola Concentration and Art with Graphic Design Concentration for only 1 year. JSU didn't meet my challenges so I left and pursued the fields I was majoring in on the streets. I picked up valuable information and gain hella experience to bring me where I am today.
I am currently starting my own business in the music industry. I am an intern for Power 99 FM (non stop hip hop) and a deejay at the Bluefin Edge Cuisine & Sushi Bar on Thursdays. I also waitress in the mean time, cut hair, and sell jewelry.
In spare time I'm listening to music, playing Capoeira (an Afro-Brasilian martial art)reading by the Mississippi River (Ramtha and Siddartha are my favorite books), listening to nature, speaking with animals or chilling with close company.
I plan to move to Salvador da Bahia to attend Samba School and study Capoeira in depth with Nacao Capoeira (my mestre is the guy from Only the Strong Mestre Cesar Di Alabama).
I like to spin house, hip hop, acid jazz, and soul.
Follow the rhythm of your soul

i'm deesha from the illadelph 215, US of A
my first love is volunteering. i get involved in all that i can to make this a better environment for humanity. my passion is battling HIV/AIDS in the hip-hop community, and my program 'cover your lover' has been in effect for 2 years, going to schools teaching safe sex and abstinence, and passing out packets with condoms and information on testing at hip-hop/LGBT hang outs.
i write for the philadelphia citypaper...a lil bit of everything...music, arts, community events.
i currently work in finance/accounting at a real estate company, and plan on going back to school for public health.
my other passion is the band jamiroquai. no words can describe how much i love this band. from 93 - until infinity. through all the changes, i'm still down with them. i'm excited to see them in concert at the end of october.
and on that note..i'm out...good to meet all you beautiful people.

I did a lil intro back on page 1 I think, but I'll do one here too just to bring myself up to date.
I'm Jesse from the frozen (or not so) North, ie.Ottawa Canada. I'm a DJ and an overall music lover. You know you have music on your mind and in your veins when the way you remember the important moments in your life is by the music that was playing while they happened. Like your life is a movie and the soundtrack brings you back to your favourite scenes.
I'd say my style covers all grounds from hip hop to soul to jazz, funk, broken beat, jazz/nu jazz, electro, breaks, drum and bass, a lil house, UKG/Grime and more with a healthy spritsing of turntablism to it. I got into spinning out of the love for the music and the desire to share the music I love with others.
Anyways, One Love, One Sound...
Peace
