As usual she is burst of fresh air that is wholesome and true to living life joyful, honest, and to the limit. She is coming on this sophmore effort with the same "breathe of spring" as she did on the first album, which is all good as I like spring after summer, too.

I am also a huge Jill Scott fan, and have seen many of her shows including her first SOBs gig 4 years ago. I was lucky to get a ticket for her show last night again at SOBs ($50 a ticket). I am sorry to say that I was not very impressed, yes I am glad she is back but where is the material? I love "Golden" but nothing else stood out. Her band was also a bit all over the place. Jill's voice and personality is still as strong as ever, but I really felt that there had been little to no progression since seeing her in the exact same spot years earlier. I think the release will at first get a strong chart position but after that it will disappear kinda what happened with Erykah's last release.

I loved the sampler I recieved from Hidden Beach. I think my favorite song will be "Rasool". I'm excited because I've already heard Family Reunion, Betta At Home, and Golden. This will be one of the hottest releases this year and I have a feeling this will be a blockbuster for her. Golden...I love the message.

I just traveled from Brooklyn to D.C. to see Mrs. Jill Scott and it was well worth the journey. Her new stuff was doper than her old stuff, and her old stuff was off the wall so just imagine. Has anybody else gotten a chance to see her of hear snippets of the new album (August 31st). I would like to hear you guys thoughts about it.
