Hey Geno...
I think Brand Nubian has a new joint out. I know I saw it in the record store the other day but didn't have time to examine it. You should check into it.
Peace,
Maryjane

great choice...loose ends. one of my favorite bands. they actually reformed for a pete rock cd released in 1998. the name escapes me.
i was also thinking about rufus and chaka. they had a reunion concert here in los angeles about 3 years ago. if y'all are fans, i recommend reading chaka's autobiography 'through the fire.' its a really inspirational read.
the other group i'd like to see get back together is the style council with paul weller, mick talbot, steve white and dee.c. lee.

Let's see...I'd like to hear some new stuff from:
*Loose Ends
*Brand New Heavies WITH N'dea (or either her alone)*Rufus & Chaka Khan (what ever happened to Rufus? lol...Chaka kicks a** regardless but is even better with a great funk band behind her)
*Repercussions
*Graham Central Station

They never actually broke up...but I want a new LOOTPACK lp!!! It's about time Madlib, Wildchild, and DJ Romes dropped the follow up to Soundpieces:Da Antidote (maybe the best hip hop album of the past 5 or 6 years).

I most definitely agree about Young Disciples. It was very fresh when it first came out.Would also like to hear more from: Pete Rock Cl Smooth, A Tribe called Quest, Grand Puba, Nu Yorican Soul (The Masters at work project), D Angelo and lots more.

the young disciples with carleen anderson, marco nelson and femi williams. 'road to freedom' was one of the finest acid jazz albums ever.
