Urban storyteller Chi Turner is a singer, songwriter, producer, curator and student of Hip Hop. This northwest coaster has brought forward moving groove-soul and collective Black music to in-the-know listeners since 2001. A gifted singer and mutli-instrumentalist, Chi Turner has taken a bold move by remaining independent, a musical jedi determined to resist the dark-side of the industry.

Influenced by the likes of Herbie, Wu-Tang, D’Angelo, Rafael Sadiq, Boys II Men, the Roots, Erykah, Lauryn, Tribe, the Dells and De La Soul, Chi defines a style of his own. He has worked with industry icons such as Incognito, Abstract-Rude, Mark de Clive Lowe, Killa Kella, Swollen Members and Ski Okenful, as well as many up-and-coming indie artists.

Chi’s first national release – 7th Nursery Broadcast – has long been anticipated by Canadian fans and international taste-makers. Ranging from sweet R&B tracks to gritty street rhymes, 7NB is an album ahead of its time. Set for independent release in the fall of 2007, 7NB is a 14-track album written, produced and performed soley by Canada’s own Chi Turner.
