Yo, this is DJ Trakklaya. If you're in the Baltimore/ DC area, check me out every Friday on "The Friday Night Jazz Club" on 88.9 WEAA FM. This is a Neo-Soul radio show for you neo-soul/ new soul/ sophisticated soul heads out there. The show is on every Friday from 8pm - Midnight. The host's name is Ebony Brown. This is how the show breaks down:
8pm - 9pm: "The Friday Night Jazz Club Listening Party". This is a 1 hour section dedicated to a certain artist where we feature their CD or LP. This is hosted by Ebony's assistant producer Roquel.
9pm - 11pm: Ebony Brown takes over from here blessing you with more down-tempo joints. Requests, new music, and old favorites are played at this time.
11pm - 11:20pm: Ebony brings it up a notch playing the top requested and more uptempo joints, preparing the listiners for yours truly!!!!!
11:25 - Midnight: Finally, DJ Trakklaya gets on the 1's and 2's with the exclusive "Friday Night Jazz Club Mix", blessing the listeners with exclusives, requests, and all of the hotness in neo-soul with a taste of Hip-Hop, Old School R&B, Stepping Music, or whatever DJ Trakklaya pulls out of his bag of goodies. It's a treat that you WILL enjoy!!!!

I am from Nj but have been in DC for about 3 yrs (not like home). I hardly ever go to the clubs here but the U st area is a go place to know about. There are always good shows going on. Talib will be at the 9:30 club on 11/18. Go to 930.com for tickets. Hit me up when you get a chance.
