I dont know anything about this group more than the tunes Ive heard but is the concept like Sounds Of Blackness? What you wrote sounds interesting though and it would be fun to see.
I second that with a Yay-men!! I saw him at GMWA in Kansas City back in August and he tore the stage down TWICE! The people front row looked like they got caught in a wind tunnel. The band (full horn section ya'll)...of the hinges, GA...REAL singers-no doubt. The tracks are hot but Tye & GA live?...People are so not ready!!
Yo, for all of you all that think gospel ain't poppin', you need to go and cop a cd of Tye Tribbett & GA's "Life" project. Even if you don't do the "gospel thang" or the "God thang", everybody can feel this cd. I just caught them this week in my hometown, K.C., MO & they straight smashed it. I'm tellin' you, GET THIS PROJECT! YOU WON'T BE SORRY. Rumor has it that they're headed to the Orient, so those of you out that way, GET READY!
"So many great artist get overlooked by the general public just because the CD may be placed under the "Gospel" heading. Check out "Mighty Long Way" with Tye Tribbett, which builds off the old church favorite "Look Where He Brought Me From". Those who love prolific choirs that can flip a beat and jam at the same time, will feel this song from the start. You can never quite predict where this song will end up —and that's the appeal of this track." - gospelflava.com www.tyetribbettandga.com
