Wow! Deesha, someone actually came @ you like that with some negative chatter?!?! Lemme say this, we all bring diverse musical tastes to the table. It's that very thing that makes this bunch so unique. Negative chatter like that (from WHOEVER ran their mouth) doesn't help or represent the purpose of the trading group. I'm glad that you decided to come back and I appreciate EVERYONE that gets down w/the trading group every month.

I concur w/Buddha & GBeatzz. There DEFINITELY appears to be a lack of interest in the trading group. I know some keep in constant contact with me to lemme know their status & I can appreciate the fact that they're still down, but things DO come up--it's life...

I've always tried to be open to suggestions to better the group and to keep everyone involved & better connected. I got a few responses and I've implemented those suggestions, but it feels like the "new" has worn off. I personally think that part of the problem isn't even music related--we've become less connected OUTSIDE of the music. One of the things that attracted me to (and kept in) this circle was the bond that the cats showed towards each other--it was more than JUST a trading group. We were concerned about each other on a personal level. It kinda feels like that "love" is gone. I constantly post; asking for everyone to take time away from the music and reach out to one another, especially those that we haven't heard from in a while, and I try to initiate conversations between people; get em' talkin'.
Yo, it's up to us to keep this thing movin'. Is the trading group something that WE want?!? I plan to do MORE than my fair share, but it's gonna take ALL of us...

peace

Hi everyone....

Love to GB and Buddha (xo)!

I have been busy working to save money for school, so I apologize for my absence. I think I was also hesitant to join back because of the chatter that some of the CD's and selections haven't been as brilliant as the past. I admit that my collection isn't as big or vast as some of you, but I do try to throw something together decent that I think people will enjoy.

So, I was put off a bit by that reaction from people. To me, it is a fun thing to do where I've met some really, really dope people and have been able to be exposed to so many new artists.

Because of this group, my musical realm has expanded in positive directions and I look forward to the future...

Let's get to trading! My partner is KDP this month. I'll post the tracklisting in the next 2 weeks (away for T-Day).

Mr Beattzz,

i posted but got not one response it kinda puts you off posting again. Not to sound too much like Marvin Gaye but ' What's going on ?' whatever happened to our vibrant musical community eh ? personally i think the download thing killed it because at that point no real effort is required and the love and care of a burnt cd tracklisting, post and receieving post from the other side of the world sometimes died. Just a theory ?

I would love a copy of that mix cd or the dvd mix Jeff good to see you keeping the faith still.

Love to all the fam old and new school

peace all,
hope all is well. Hope everyone is enjoying all the massive tunes being exchanged. I'll be laying low for this open trade month as I am flooded with having to do radio edits for the radio show. But i'll be back on board the next month.
