TURNTABLE COURSES

Turntable 101 is a comprehensive overview and introduction to the world of DJing. With emphasis on developing a working knowledge of a basic DJ setup: 2 Turntables, stylus and cartridge adjustment, Mixer, Headphones, and Monitors. The workshop will have a simple 5-step program, which includes the connection of the DJ equipment, identifying the feature of each component, cartridge and tone arm calibrations, basic cueing, beat mixing, and scratching. $400

Turntable Advanced is an intermediate class that focuses on beat mixing and scratching, beat counting and music theory and composition. Student and instructor will concentrate on style and personal development. Practicality vs. Personal Artistic expression. $425

Turntable Pro is for advanced students. For those that have mastered the demands of Turntable 101 and Turntable Advanced and have demonstrated the principles of basic DJing skills. Turntable Pro instruction is an intense focus on beat matching, scratching, music theory, composition, and personal style and development. Insight for reading an audience and understanding a dance floor or lounge environment. Getting your first DJ gig. Turntable Pro is ideal for seasoned DJ’s that need a refresher course. $457

CD COURSES

CD 101 is a comprehensive overview and introduction to the world of DJing. With emphasis on developing a working knowledge of a basic DJ setup: 2 CD Players, Mixer, Headphones, and Monitors. The workshop will have a simple 4-step program, which includes the connection of the DJ equipment, identifying the features of each component, basic cueing, beat mixing, and scratching. $425

CD Advanced is an intermediate class that focuses on beat mixing and scratching, beat counting and music theory and composition. Students and instructor will concentrate on style and personal development. Practicality vs. Personal Artistic expression. $450

CD Pro instruction is an intense focus on beat matching, scratching, music theory, composition, and personal style and development. Insight for reading an audience and understanding a dance floor or lounge environment. Getting your first DJ gig. $475

Home Consultation & Mentorship
For students that want to spin from their home DJ studio and seeking the personal mentoring needed to master DJ skills. Assistance with equipment purchase, connections, and system configurations.
2 Hour Session. $500

DJ Studio Rental
Produce your music mix and demo CD in a vibrant, stimulating, and creative atmosphere at the Fingersnaps DJ Studio hosted at Red Ink Studios. An environment where you can pump it up! $150 per
2 hour session.

DJ classes are personal one-on-one sessions. By appointment only. All classes are four 2-hour sessions.
