yo man you should come out to the Lapa Lounge in Upland (about 45 min. east from montebello) hosted by the THOUGHT CLOUDS COLLECTIVE, we play every 1st and 3rd sat.its two rooms, so its always two moods. funny because my choice in record selections is almost exactly the same as yours. from acid jazz, to soul, reggae, funk, bossa (heavy), samba, batucada, some hip hop, and soul house. you should definitley check it out, its a very dope vibe. our next date is JANUARY 7th.
