also theres a protest poster art opening at Max Fsh sunday nite from 6-9pm. . .sponsored by Free 103 and Kayrock Screen Printin', proceeds will go to Downtown for Democracy!

Is true. It's very important that we all come together to flog the GOP when they infest New York next month.

Don't depend on the regular peace-supporting / liberal non-profits to carry the torch for you during the convention, as, due to fine print in the 501(c)3 paperwork, most non-profits will not be protesting during the convention itself for fear of losing their tax-exempt status by interfering with the on-goings.

In other words, if you do not normally express your liberal self, get ready to do so in August. If you're not one to carry a sign, try organizing a safe house / comfort zone / restroom for those who will be protesting.
