Its Interesting to me that you're so proud of what you believe that you actually created an anonymous account so that you could post this comment. Not trying to badmouth you or anything, but I just believe that the reality of it is that if you're afraid to stand up for what you feel and say, then you're probably either a person who is very wak or lacking in character, or you're just a coward. Once again..... Not badmouthing you, because I value and respect almost everyones opinion, but Its kind of hard to respect individuals who hide themselves from the potential consequenses of their actions or comments. Please feel free to respond.......

how come every problem that minorities have it is always blamed on "the white man" don't get me wrong or anything minorities haven't been treated fairly but come on get off your *** and do something how come kayne can say racist lyrics about whites but if one white man said anything about a black man he would be prosecuted people are just way too easy on minorities and their "special" rights affirmative action- B.S. best man for the job should get it even in the media its so not cool to be white here's a question if a man said he had black pride would that sound racist what if he said he had white pride scholarships are even based on race there aren't any for white students even poor white students want to get rid of racism......get rid of the idea of race color ethnicity it should not matter if you complain about it all the time then what do you think people will see someone who is trying to change the stereotype or someone who just wants sympathy for something they never went through (refering to slavery ect.)

Late pass on this one:

>>>Wow, he wants us to care about the children dying in the Blood Diamond Mine in Sierra Leone but can't stand outside. I know it is hot in Georgia but it was a scheduled night concert. Toughen up! Oh and Bush doesn't care about black people. Yea right! How many blacks care about whites or even how many blacks care about latinos. That's like Don King telling me I'm having a bad hair day. AND there are more black-on-black crimes AND more black-on-white crimes than white-on-black crimes...

Hmmm...you're right about the white-on-black crimes thing. I mean SLAVERY and JIM CROW and the effort to end AFFIRMATIVE ACTION don't really qualify as crimes in the traditional sense.

>>>So, Sorry if us white folks are not quick enough in responding to crack-heads who did not have enough sense to even listen to their own black mayor. Do you honestly think that is reponsible parenting? If I was told to evacuate, me and my son would be hitching a ride to the next state. So why don't Kayne take his "Jesus Piece" Mr. T start up jewerly kit down to the pawn shop and help out himself.

And now, for this commercial announcement:
Please know when to say when. If you have a loved one who freebases and posts irrational, incongruent thoughts like these, please hug them, tell them that everything will be alright and quickly remove all sharp and blunt objects from their room.

Thank you.

ErinNicole,
I read your post over and over again. I am a Katrina survivor. I am black. I am offended by your post. I did not get out of New Orleans because my grandmother is disabled, and we could not get her in a car. There was not any EMS coming to pick up the disabled. As a family we did not leave. We went to the Superdome for medical help. Secondly, if you left when the "black mayor" (Ray Nagin) told the citizens of New Orleans to evacuate, you probably would have been stuck on the road without any gas. It usually takes 45 minutes to get to Baton Rouge. It took 12 hours or more. I will not reference your "crackhead" statements because that's absurd and crass. I have a little more class than that. What I saw in the Superdome, what I went through because of Katrina, I would not wish that on anyone (black, white, Hispanic, Asian). I would not wish that on any enemy. I would not wish that on you even with your racist and insensitive words.

Never said that Michael Moore wasn't happy with the Katrina situation. People just tend to accuse Michael Moore of being completely biased and somewhat falsified in his attempts to prove a point. He is a sensationalist. All I was saying is that there are more documentarists that have done thorough research into Bush that are lesser known.

ErinNicole - people have a hard time listening to somebody when they yell/rant. The reason is that when somebody feels threatened by another, they immediately take up a defensive position and it does limit to how much they hear or understand. In print, making racist accusations would be a pretty sufficient equivalent to yelling. There could've been many other ways to rpesent your opinion minus the racism that would've illiceted much more intelligent discussion.
To respond to your questions: No, I do not think that it was neccessarily the rigth place for him to say those comments, but I do believe that they needed to be aired. The purpose of the telethon was to raise funds to support your fellow american citizens, not to air opinions. But on the flipside, where else would he have been able to air his comments with the same impact and media coverage witout the ever-present corporate sensorship?
Do I think that his comments helped the cause? Absolutely. Though it may not have helped in the immidiate financial reconstruction of New Orleans, it did bring light to a socio-cultural problem that has existed for centuries (and that you yourself are contributing to) that did have an effect on the response time to the N.O. dissaster.
As for your third question, I have no clue what community you are referring to. Is it the University community that got let down by him cancelling his performance? Is it the white supremacist/racist comunity that you refer to? Or is it America as a whole?
Had your original post consisted of just your question in response to Kanye's comments, this would've been a far more productive discussion without the retaliation towards your injection of somewhat racist personal biases.
