It's hard not to feel incredibly bitter when you feel your vote wasn't even counted. Yesterday, I went to the polls, and despite varifying my registration and polling place months earlier, there was still some confusion. Provisional ballots aren't worth a ****.

...crap.

Well in regards to your question Kev, it is not about whether or not it was right to for Bush to play the religion card. I hate saying that but its true.

Was it right the way Bush became President in the first place?
Was it right the way Bush misled people into thinking Iraq was linked with Osama Bin Laden and had WMD's?

Bush wanted to win and he did for once.
Religious beliefs and politics shouldn't mix but it did in this case.
I think the start of the focus to a return to values was (to be completely honest) with the Super Bowl Half Time show with Janet Jackson.
That offended alot of people and persuaded people into being just slightly more conservative in their values and way of thinking.

Well looking forward to 2008 election
Jeb Bush vs. Hilary Clinton sounds like a definite possibility.
That is not a good thought for all those Anti-Bush.

Your right dancinmachine00 people voted for Bush because he comes across as being strong in mind & will, just a question though doyou feel Bush was right to use the christianity thing to get people to vote for him.

I'm not anti-christian but i feel religion should have not place in politics.

People have to understand that there are two America's. Big cities vs. rural country towns. Despite all the things that happened with 9/11, people in the midwest still hate New York and big cities in general. They don't hate the people but they hate what big cities stand for.

People who voted for Bush because they feel, DESPITE ALL THE STUPID AND CROOKED THINGS THAT HE HAS DONE, he is a leader who is strong with strong morals.
Kerry was a little indecisive at times and believed in abortion and possible *** marriage which turned middle America completely off.
If you look at all the states that Bush won, he dominated the Midwest and the South.

Despite all the talk in big cities, small towns rule America. It's crazy but true. It's not completely over but it doesn't look good if you are anti-Bush.

I envy your idealism. Now is clear that most Americans do not understand or respect our neighbors. The are uneducated and content with watching tv and shopping. Thats all they need.

I have to say that I don't give a **** about this country, and I have lost all hope.

Praying won't do it - the country is even more polarized than ever. I really thought Kerry would prevail. Now we need to still protest for change and make them know we are still out there.
