the best rated place to give money to is the red
cross!!!
I just found out last night!!!
they get an A+ for the simple fact that for every
$100 it only cost them $8 for them to get the funds
to the people in need!!!
(because they're so big and have branches all
over the world and a whole extensive network!)
plus they control the worlds blood supply and have
the most access to the means to fight all the
reports of measles and diarrhea, cholera, typhoid,
hepatitis A and dysentery.
since they're such a large orginazation they'll have
the most success admin. all the vaccinating that
needs to be done!
most companies are gonna recoop money to help
keep them a float and then they'll only give 40%
of the donations they recieved. (if even that much)
some companies even less)
the worst has just begun, with all the viruses
breaking out the death toll could reach 100,000!!!

This is the most horrible thing to happen probably in the history of man. A painful reminder of how fragile and precious life is. I hope this can tragedy will put some things into perspective for everyone. Mourn the dead, respect the power of nature and most importantly, live your life like it's golden!

i'm trying to organize some sort of benefit as a result of the catastrophe. i'm going to try to coordinate with other promoters, organizers, artists, musicians and regular folks who just want to help out. i don't have any details ironned out, but if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, or would like to get involved, please holler.

Reports have casualties topping out at over 100,000. I haven't been this deeply wounded since 9/11.
Dec 29th, 2004 at 11:29:11 AM EST
lives lost estimated at 80,000+
This is so sad, it hurts my heart...most of the ones that perished are children and elders
