I saw it yesterday and I agree. it was not worth the $$. It was almost as if i was watching the movie backwards, the way the story was told. I expected better, but hey..sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

I haven't seen "The Grudge" and that's only because I saw it's Japanese predecessor "Ju On" which was ridiculously un-scary (what's so scary about a little boy in white body paint?) and just plain silly.
My sympathies on the loss of your $10 Chico...

I know that "The Grudge" is not one of them...that's for sure. I feel like I wasted $10. Typical suspense horror plot. That "something's out there" premise is so tired. At least they could have put a new spin on it. My favorite horror flick of the past two years remains 28 Days Later. Though I haven't seen the remake of Dawn Of The Dead yet. Any thoughts?

Shaun of the Dead
Zatoichi - The Blind Swordsman
Farenheit 911 (even tho it didn't tell me anything I didn't already know from surfin the net, it served as a wake up call to those still sleeping)
Naked Weapon (came out in 2002 but has yet to be dethroned...it's my favorite asian joint)
Starsky & Hutch - I don't care what anyone says, this movie had me almost ******* in my seat at points. I love Ben Stiller.

sup gs fam! it's my 1st post so go easy on me:
hero-without a doubt it's an incredible, gorgeous flick and so worth the $9.50-$10.25 they charge for movies here in nyc. i like it better than crouching tiger hidden dragon. even the soundtrack had me hooked!
mo' better blues-favorite movie in the world of all time hands down. another fantastic soundtrack.
under the cherry moon-people really slept on this prince movie and i don't know why!
el postino(the postman)-subtitles (so if you have adhd, don't bother) with the poetry of pablo neruda. great flick, great soundtrack.
bound-this flick is what still has me getting goosebumps for gina gershon. **** she is so sexy!
and a bonus flick:
crooklyn-this is everything brooklyn is to me. i remember running up the hill to the monument in ft. greene park, playing and rough housing with the boys (cuz i was a tomboy), sitting on the stoop getting my hair braided and singing along to the partridge family on t.v. i want my kids to have the same kind of childhood on the same kind of block and running up the same hill of ft. greene park.
