Let Pete be a reminder to quit smoking (cigarettes that is!)... the lung cancer just aint worth it

I know the man is a reporter and not much for providing quality music, but I respect him all the same. Much of what I interpreted about the nation and the world was due in significant detail to the passion and sincere thoughtfulness that Peter Jennings gave to his profession. He never seemed to be too opinionated where other newscasters & talk news pundits took sides or used their newsdesk as a means to defame the suspected, the repressed, or the hated. His tone was straightforward and he had a humble demeanor. In an era where egotistical reporters would love to mold our minds into agreement, I think the entire world will miss having an unbiased, intelligent voice to shed light on the lies and the truth in our society.
