hey fresh Kat - could it be the firewall at your company slowing things down? we tested the speed of the website and actually the performance seems to be fine. also, with the refresh, we sped up things a bit by streamlining the weight of each page and also changing how the forum box on each page loads ..........

the only issue we are finding is with some of the forum pages, especially the main page.

let us what pages you are having issues with and we will keep investigating. also, if anyone else is having problems. our goal is to serve up simply good music fast and easy ;-)

best,

The site looks great! I love the new colors. The only thing I noticed is that it always takes a long time for the pages to load even on cable or corporate connection.

Hi HamilcarKing. Thanks for the tips. We are actually in the process of getting up a dedicated Photo Gallery page for past Giant Step events as well as offering more videos. Photos from Miami should be up soon, as we shuffle through the gizillion photos we have.

Guys,

I've been following Giant Step since 2001.

The Giant Step website is awesome, but there is something obviously missing: photographs from past events ! For example two of the most beautiful happenings at WMC 2006 were held in the Penthouse at the Sagamore (Gilles Peterson and Jazzanova/Ame), but incredibly there is no record of them on the site. What's up with that ? And there were photographers from other sites at these events ! You guys should have posted 200 photos at least from each of these.

Once you get photos up and running my next suggestion is Giant Step TV. Yes, film the events and post clips on the site or maybe on myspace.com.
