i saw lidell at coachella over the weekend, and he was dope. he played the Luke Vibert remix of "A Little Bit More" from the much-coveted Puma 12" series, which is pretty much my favorite beat ever and has a bass-line that can break floorboards, sweeeeet. the rest of the set was cool, with him building beats by looping samples of his voice and beatbox live, then singing songs from his album over the beats. still, i wish he had dropped some of the instros from the album, cause those songs are just way too good, but as he says, he likes to keep things live...well, who am i to second-guess a genious. much respect.

jamie made some beats, let it play and encouraged people to come on stage and just let loose saying 'this is what it's all about. not being shy, just being free'. that guy got up there and did a freestyle about being on stage with jamie. but it was more funny, than serious.
then another guy got on there and did some watered down scatting. but he wasn't that bad.

it was all in good fun!

I actually had video gear with me ready to shoot a documentary of the whole night in Philly, but at the last minute decided to LIVE in the moment rather than record it.
Sad because usually I at least have a still camera or something! So I have no photos!

i took pictures, and i should have them back in about an hour. i always take a disposable because i'm afraid of taking the expensive one and getting it taken or something..so i'm not sure about the quality of pics. they are all going to be black and white too.
