I was there it was a wonderful night-he didn't need any background vocalists as the audience did the rest. There were some pretty well known singers in the crowd Eric Roberson being one of them. Great diverse crowd, personally couldn't contain myself as I have waited to hear Bittersweet for so long. Luckily Lewis moved it up in the set. Loved the way in Shame he segued in Edgar Winters Frankenstein and then back to the song (classic). Personsally I didn't need to hear his Todd Rundgren or Funkadelic cover as there are songs by Lewis I would have prefered.

Can't wait for Lewis II in NYC

...The show was quite amazing, and to be honest, I left the show thinking that this guy could be a bonified genius.

in five years, there will be a lot of people saying they were at this gig who weren't, it was that kind of show - half the crowd singing along the whole way and smiles all around. he seemed genuinely surprised by how well everybody knew the music, and literally stayed on stage until he ran out of songs and then improv-ed a few afterwards. i can't remember a time when i've seen a performer enjoy himself more, i woke up today still basking in the afterglow. a superb concert.

So Lewis made his US live debut in NYC at Bowery Ballroom last night. Who went? How was it? Bummed he's not making a stop in Baltimore / DC.
