On Jazzanova's new album 'The Remixes 2002 - 2005,' the appropriate sequel to the nu-jazz / future soul masterpiece 'The Remixes 1997 - 2000,' the Berlin-based six-piece collective add their impeccable production skills to tracks by Heavy, Masters At Work & Roy Ayers, Marcos Valle, Shaun Escoffery and Nuspirit Helsinki. On this exclusive Seattle appearance to celebrate the release, expect a stunning amalgamation of retro and new sounds that echo musical styles as varied as hip-hop, afro funk, drum & bass, boogie, brazil, latin, and soul.

SunTzu Sound, the 5 piece collective based in the Pacific Northwest, celebrates three years of bringing soulful, forward-thinking music to the dancefloors of Seattle and Vancouver. From late 2002 until today, the crew have been the lone flag bearers for the new sounds of broken beat and future jazz while merging these sounds with deep house, hip-hop and afro-latin rhythms. They are responsible for exposing music fans to new school talent such as Bugz in the Attic, King Britt, Domu, Jazzanova and Ayro. SunTzu Sound recently dropped their first 12" release on their own label which has already been dubbed a "CO-OP Anthem" by the DJs who spin at the legendary broken beat night in London and has been receiving spins on the BBC and soundsystems worldwide. 2006 will see the collective continue their pursuit to bring funky, soul-fueled music to those that need it.
