Wanted to post some more:
1) What groups or albums most influenced your music and the musical direction you have taken by becoming a DJ?
2) Since travelling is part of your business, is there any city or location that you would like the opportunity to perform at?
3) Whats the better dish, Fish & Chips or Chicken Tikka Masala?

Ben:
Two-pronged (sorry)
Often times you'll get a website, say the one for cielo club for example, proferring up playlists or "virtual sets" for their faithful. Would you consider doing the same for your "the neighbourhood" site, seeing as how some of us can't really get back as much as we'd like to Notting Hill, and, as you might have gleaned by now, without sites like Giant Step digging in the dirt, there really isn't much of a dance radio culture here to speak of...
Looking foward to domani, I've seen you spin since that very first little sweatbox at the Arts Club with Jay in the late 90's and you were always very kind to those of who arrived just after 7!

Ben,
As a deeply devoted fan and lover of ebtg, I have followed you and Tracey from "A Distant Shore" and "North Marine Drive" (and even before, Cherry Red stuff). Do you and Tracey ever still perform your early work live? If so, how do you see that fitting in with your new work? If not, why? Your evolution as a musician and now as a DJ has attracted a greater and wider audience, while, depending on who you ask, alienating or bringing along your older fans to new sounds. I for one, belong to the latter.
Keep up the beautiful sounds. I think there is a tremendous audience of those like myself who would love a classic Ben & Tracey acoustic set, though.

Ben-
You are an accomplished songwriter, musician, DJ, remixer, and author. Which of those descriptions would you like to be best remembered as?

Dear Ben,
1)A lok of talk that DJ's are not musicians and have no musical talent, what are you thoughts on that?
2)With the creatation of CD turntables vs traditional turntables what are your feelings on the comparison of both?
3)Besides your own tracks, who are some of the artists in your record crates that you spin on the regular?

Ben,
1) While a lot of DJs do not start as musicians, they learn enough to become producers and do their own artist albums (Sasha, Tiesto, Oakenfold, etc). As a person who has several music outfits and years of experience already under your belt, will you be working on an artist album in the deep house genre?
(Since this seems like a duplicate ?, I have some others).
2) As deep house is a small genre within dance music, who do you think are the US or other international equivalents (DJ or Label) to yourself and Buzzin Fly? We have Naked and OM Records (Marques Wyatt used a same track as on your mix) and maybe some of the 18th Street Lounge. Is there any label/DJ/Club in the US that we should be keeping our eyes on while you arent touring here?
3) In a DJ sets utilizing visuals, what influence do you have on the visuals/production? Will the visuals be pre sync-ed to a song, queued in order or just left up to the team to decide? When there are visuals, do you think there might be sensory overload for some people since its hard to dance and watch a visual at the same time? Personally I cant do both, or maybe its just not something I'm used to. How do the visuals extend the deep house experience?
p.s., any of the tracks/vocals on new Bent album "Ariels" would be great for your touch on a remix!

Ben,
I've been a big fan of all of your work way back to the early EBTG from the 80's. I'm curious about the evolution that you've gone through; was there a masterplan at work or did you follow the direction of things as it naturally occurred? The Walking Wounded release had to be a nervous period as you switched from a jazzy-pop mode to embracing a more full on dance feel to your writing. Keep up the grooves and I'm looking forward to the fisrt Buzzin Fly releases!!
Cheers!

I know you have been busy with Buzzin Fly and Lazy Dog work. How is the "Ben Watt" solo album coming along? Any guest appearances? I regard you and Stuart Matthewman as the 2 best songwriters and groovesters ever! Any chance of you two hooking up for a Lazy Dog .vs. Cottonbelly track? That would be unreal. Keep livin'-lovin'-groovin'. Kisses to Tracey - PEACE - Guinnessbelly
