Carl shows once again how much depth and all-around artist can have. Playwright, actor, author, singer, songwriter ... you name it, he's got it!

Yeah, I definitely have to concur with you...Carl's new album echoes Gil Scott Heron while bringing something way darker (in a good way) yet funky to the table. Haven't heard anything even remotely close to Carl's record, besides the TV On The Radio album, in the way of merging varying styles of African-American sounds into a cohesive album.

We're all very excited here at Giant Step about Carl's new album 'Apothecary Rx' (so-o-o excited, that you may have noticed that there are TWO forums for Carl).
With the upcoming Tuesday, June 1st release date, we mailed our limited Tastemaker mailing out this past Thursday .. and, although only the Tastemakers serviced in New York have received their albums so far, the feedback is so great I wanted to share some with you. The ABSOLUTE FIRST response follows from a Manhattan-based stylist:
"I received this CD today and was blown away. Each track a masterpiece ...who knew?"
Well, now we all know. So, on Tuesday, go to the store, pick-up a copy, and spread the word!
