thanks 1970 for posting the story. great interview - because i had no idea he wrote a musical nor did i hear any rumor about him and drugs. i must have been hiding under a rock.
it's also nice that he is off of motown. they are such a mess. they've had a roster of dope artists and just screwed it all up.
anyway, good to see donnie back out there and i hope to see him soon.

I really want to see Donnie perform. I live in Texas and he hardly comes anywhere around here. But I was wondering when the next time he would be in NYC, because I am going there 12/29 till 01/05/06, and I would love to see him do his thing! HOLLA at me if anyone has any info about that! PEACE!

that's good news, because i've been waiting to see him again...hopefully the california show is the first of many across the country. he always does nice intimate venues too.

He's so talented, yet still so underrated..I've been waiting for him to drop something new for a minute. The "Colored Section" CD just left me wanting more of his vibe.

Good to hear that Donnie will be dropping something soon. Saw him in Brooklyn and he just really gave a sterling performance--even bought a t-shirt and got some free buttons.
