I was there. Amazing show. The best night out I've had in years, literally years. I've also been waiting for years for Gilles to get out here. I was not disappointed. The jazz he started out with was great, when he threw on Minnie's 'Les Fluer' I lost it with a few hundred other people.
Dwele was good, I was entertained. When he came on there was a massive rush of females to the front. I had some little women elbow me right out of the way.
The Rebirth were/was great as well. I had a couple of their LPs but never realized that's who they were, just didn't put it together when I saw the flyer.

Gilles killed it though. If he were here weekly i would be there everytime. Everyone i was with had a blast. Such a great night i can't say it enough.

Bunch a' talk about Gilles LA and NYC shows, but no talk on SF - termed the best show of the tour by Dwele, The Rebirth and Gilles himself.

The show was at Mezzanine, Dwele and The Rebirth killed it, and Gilles DJ'd a very Worldwide format set before the live acts, and then a very heavy broken, brazilian set after The Rebirth and Dwele and rocked the decks until we had to force him off at 4:05am. We had about 1000 people in the house rocking out, which was an incredible feat as the Bay Bridge (the bridge that connects Oakland and the rest of East Bay to SF) was closed down!!!
