Jamiroquai percussionist, friend and wonderful musician Solá Akingbolá brings you rhythm and roots based on his Nigerian heritage, but his debut also incorporates influences from around the world.
The album - "Roots to Routes - Yoruba Drums from Nigeria" has 11 tracks, a few which you can hear minute snippets of at the link below. You can also see a brief bio, quotes and pictures of Solá in his element AND buy the album from the site. Check details for shipping.
Pass this on if you dig quality world music and I'm sure Sola would appreciate the support of Jamiroquai fans as well as music fans in general! If anyone reading is a fan of Solá, get at me as I will be doing an interview with him about this project. Deadline for questions is tomorrow - 11/7/07
