Ah man I am confused!!! Someone posted on the web that Ledisi is releasing a cd this year. When I spoke with her, she told me next spring. Oh yeah and she sang, on the spot, something from her new cd.

Don't know what stirring in Ledisi's mind. But I do know she's been travelling...so maybe those creative juices are flowing

@cantona I have yet to hear a recording that touches the level of a live set. But I feel ya. I saw Ledisi a couple weeks ago, and this week I'm playing her cd in the car, and I miss the live Ledisi. The same can be said for Maysa and Lalah. I'm hoping that Rachelle Ferrell and Ledisi record something together.

I've heard Maysa outside the stage, and Ledisi is catching up to her. I heard Maysa sing Summertime and tore it up. You know I like that all of them have a distinct vocal range. There knowledge of music is incrediable, vocal range is flawless.

We just have to wait til next summer to hear Ledisi new project.

I heard she was doing a jazz cd with Verve, saw her a month or so ago at Au Bar in NYC, been following her since her Slide 5 days.

No one can touch her vocally, nobody. My one gripe is that she ha never made a cd that reaches the level of intensity of her live performances.

LeSun is Ledisi's and Sandra's record company. I've heard a couple cuts from the cd. She's working with Steve Harvey on a couple of cuts. If you have Donnie or Trina Brussard' cd, then you are familiar with his work.

I think its gonna be worth the wait. Ledisi has been travelling and growing vocally since the last cd. Oh, she's got a duet with Rahsaan coming too. Dunno who's cd that will be on yet. I wonder if she's recording anything with Maysa??? She was scattin her butt of on Maysa's cd "smooth sailing"

I'm so excited. I've been burning a hole in Soulsinger. Man she tore it up at the Capital Jazz Fest. I can't wait to hear her next cd. So far I've heard three cuts. Ledisi is doing a duet with Rahsaan Patterson that I'm sure will sweat your perm. LOL
