saw Zap Mama in LA with De La Soul, Van Hunt & Seal. She was definitely the star of the night inviting Michael Wikandi (I think that's him) and DJ Scratch out. Her energy is unbelievable. She stripped, she danced, she flipped....she even gave us the African Running Man! I'm all about it. Definitely the best show I've seen - live energy all the way!
I had a great time at the show Tuesday night. The upright bass player is awesome both vocally as well as on the bass. She is so animated in her stage presence and has a beautiful smile. In fact, everyone was absolutely great. Marie's got some serious production skills. What she did with her voice and the sampling machine was phenomenal. Their show is a must see. Each time I see their show not only is it completely different but gets better each time, as if that was possible.
lol --- (i just looked at both my postings... i sound like f'ing paris hilton -- " so hot " --- who am i?!?!?
they were truely all a treat... buck 65 had me belly laughing.. does he produce all his own backround music??- cause it was def hot.
DJ Afro is sweet as pie as is his music. ;)
DJ Afro from Los Amigos Invisibles was the opening DJ and Buck 65 was the hilarious act/stand up comedian who came on before Zap Mama. It was so cool seeing David Byrne!

Man, I had so much fun last night at the Zap Mama show...did anyone else here go? If not, u missed a helluva show! So many starz too! Erykah Badu, PharoaH Monche and David Byrne were all mingling about! Zap Mama gave so much energy and really got the crowd into it. I swear I felt the floor wobbling from everyone jumping up and down! Kudos to Giant Step!
