Well, y'all are CLEARLY sleeping on the highlight of the album, "Seconds Of Pleasure." Hmm .. not so sure where he was going with the song title though.
Speaking of sleeping, I guess y'all must be new to the Giant Step Web site as Capitol finally did the right thing in March and brought Giant Step in on the Hunt, Better late than never.

Hmmm...maybe in ten Buddah lifetimes you may attain my enlightenment level. Perhaps, perhaps (rubbing beard). Until then...
P.S.: Glad you like the record ;-)

I picked this up after I heard Superbizzee got it...I try to be as much like him as possible and luckily, as a bonus, the album is great!
kymmie:)

Did Superbizzee just admit to dozing w/the release of this record?! Shocker!! :-)
In any case, interested to see him live -- I've heard mixed reviews of his performance abilities, and unfortunately I've missed his previous shows in NY. If it's anything like the video he has for first single "Dust" ..(www.vanhunt.com) I may just need to close my eyes and imagine myself w/headphones on, listening to "Van Hunt:Unplugged."
Regardless, its a FREEEE concert in Prospect PARK on a SUMMER day!! -- That's HOTTness if you ask me!
A fan of the album: "Down Here In ****" "Highlights" "Hold My Hand" "Her December" are up on my rankings.
With 70K units scanned to date... did umm Capitol EVER consider promoting this album??? -- Things that make you go ...Hmmmmmmm.......

I'm lookin forward to seeing him play at Prospect Park. I picked up his album after I'd heard about him through a friend earlier this year. Man, I didn't even know the record was out. There was no buzz, man. No ads, no write ups. No nothing. And I'm usually up to snuff on upcoming artists. The folks up at Capitol must have had a "Hidden Van Hunt-Crouching Hit Record" game plan in mind. But yo, everybody should come out next month to hear him play. It's gonna be a live-live show (no pun intended). Everybody should bring out all your folks to the park to see the show. It's free. If Cody ChesnuTT is a little to ecentric for your tastes; Van Hunt is like his gangster leaning, mellowed-out cousin. And you can't beat that wit a bat.

Just saw that Van Hunt was playing at Celebrate Brooklyn on July 16th. I have seen him a couple of times. The first occassion was ok-he was pretty stiff and his band were not all that. However I saw him perform again a couple of months after his cd had come out and it was MUCH better. I am still really digging the cd-my favorite track is "Outta The Sky".
BTW has anyone read his bio? It is kinda weird but certainly original (if any of it is actually true).
