Sounds like it was a blast! wish I could have gone!
I went Amp was superb!!! the crowd did n't really know who he was-it took some time for them to warm up. Stephanie McKay ripped it on vocals too. Floetry on the otherhand seemed really dated, same ol' #$%^. It was kinda heavy handed compared to Amp's. It was like we have live instruments let's play really load and hard...
I DIDNT PLAN ON GOIN TO SEE AMP AND FLOETRY BUT IM GLADD I DID THE WEATHER WAS NICE THE PEOPLE WERE BEAUUUUTIFUL AND THE SHOW WAS SMOKING AMP SOUNDED COOL HES NEW SO HE DIDNT GET LOVE LOVE LOVE BUT THEY LIKED HIM I NEED TO GET HIS CD THOUGH FLOETRY WAS KILLIN THEM SOFTLY THOUGH AND THE FLOWESESS IS A RIOT SHE GOT MAD MAD MAD JOKES I THINK SHE AS BUDDA BLESSED BEFORE SHE HIT STAG THOUGH BUT IT WAS ALL 2 THE GOOD(NESS)
I will be there-does anyone remember Amp when he put out his cd under name Mr. Fiddler in early 90's? I also remember seeing him playing in P Funk and a later version of Brand New Heavies. Amp is a great guy who deserves everyones support and loads of success.
I saw Amp in Detroit - his show was OFF THE HOOK Can't wait until this weekend to check him out in the park @ Summerstage
