I've got to say that I totally slept on Citizen Cope's last album, but I was able to get my hands on an advance copy of his new one 'The Clarence Greenwood Recordings' and I've got to say I've been going back to it over and over again. There's nothing spectacular about him, I can't place it...there's a very everyday man vibe about his lyrics and songwriting. Reminds me of the Bob's, Dylan and Marley, in a lot of ways. Kind of subdued, but just what we could use a lil' more of these days. Have any of you seen him live? I'm very curious to hear opinions...
