Why the talk of follow up's when this album hasn't even been released yet?? I don't think i mentioned her touring for this album did i ?? Anyway the point of her music is listen and love. Peace
Actually, Bjork has said in several interviews that she is not planning on touring this album because she toured so much for Vespertine and Family Tree. She feels that she has more momentum after finishing an album to continue writing and recording (lubricated, in her words), so she will probably come out with a follow-up pretty soon.
I think if she made albums every year it would definately filter out the unique content because she would have less time to explore the worlds collaboraters and make something totally different. You are all right in that she brings it different each time but for the most exciting Bjork material it is definately live or on the cd single's where you get the wild and diverse collabs with every genre of music and underneath it all that natural, fantastic voice. Can't wait for this voice album it should be totally mindblowing !!
All that I can say about Bjork's performance at the olympics is "Awesome". I can't wait to check out this new project.
Where is the line? is one of the sickest tracks I've heard from BJORK in a long time. And I can't stand Rhazel. But this is awesome. I am a little upset I missed her on the opening ceremonies for the Olympics. I can't wait for this album to drop. BJORK is one of the most amazing talents out there she needs to drop albums like JAY-Z. Keep them coming album after album. The wait is far too long but definitely worth it. I too can't wait to here the remixes of these tracks. We need more Jungle remixes. DJ Krust (again, Roni Size and Grooverider I'm sure can do some awesome dark remix.
thanks urbanistah! I had wanted to see that! :)
"Who Is It?" is so fierce. Bjork is definitely back in a big way. I read she felt she had to regain her confidence after Lars von Trier mentally tortured her during "Dancer". We are so proud of our pixie! She never disappoints. *Filter mag is hosting a listening party/DVD screening at PIANOs next Tuesday 8.24.
www.jimgilliam.com Bjork at the Olympics. I wish I could have been there. She's such a little ice princess!
Bugsy...it was dope! She performed "Oceania" and her dress became a virtual sea over the heads of ALL the Olympians in the arena. It was quite a sight. It ended with an overhead shot where the entire oval looked like a blue map of the globe. Too bad Bob Costas wouldn't shut his trap the whole time Bjork was singing.
did anyone catch her performance for the opening ceremony of the olympics? i'm so sad i missed it, but i heard it was amazing!
